Oklahoma guard lighting it up

Undersized point guard are expected to be quick ball handlers with a lot of heart. 5-foot-9, 165-pound point guard Keiton Page has these qualities, but he also has a quality that gives him an extra edge. The 2008 prospect from Pawnee (Okla.) High School (6-1) is a dead-eye shooter.
Through seven games this season, Page is averaging 29 points per game and was the leading scorer at the prestigious Tournament of Champions over the holidays averaging 25 points per game through 3 games.

Even more impressive are his shooting percentages last season while averaging 22 points per game as a freshman. Page shot a mind boggling 92 of 94 from the free throw line. From the field, he shot 49 percent from three, making over 3 three-pointers per game, and 65 percent from inside the arc.
"Keiton can really play," said Pawnee head coach and Page's father David Page. "He's athletic and built really well. We lift a lot of weights, and he has good strength. He handles the ball well and has very good floor vision. And he shoots the ball extremely well, but he is still the type of player who makes others better."
Contemplating playing AAU ball with Athletes First to get more national exposure, Page's recruitment is just getting started. He is presently hearing from Wichita State, Tulsa, Missouri State and Oklahoma State, but expect the list of schools to increase once coaches get a look at Page on the court.
