Dominic James recently received some good news in regards to his recruitment. After fielding scholarship offers from Ball State and Cleveland St., the 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard/shooting guard from Richmond High School in Richmond, IN., has two more scholarship offers on the table from Ohio State and Iowa. Coaches’ from both programs have scheduled in school visits during the month of April.

“We’re done with the basketball season, so things are beginning to heat up a little with Dominic and his recruitment,” Richmond High School Head Coach Chad Bosler said. “Both Ohio State and Iowa have offered Dominic a scholarship and coaches’ from both schools will be coming in for a visit in April. Notre Dame and Marquette have done an outstanding job in terms of staying in contact with Dominic.
“I would say the top four schools are Ohio State, Iowa, Notre Dame and Marquette,” he added. “Schools like NC State, Florida, Michigan and Kansas continue to stay in contact, but they aren’t as involved as the other four schools. Also, Ball State and Cleveland St. have done an outstanding job with their recruitment of Dominic. They were the first two schools to offer scholarships.”
James does not intend to make any decisions about his future until next fall. He will spend the summer traveling with the Spiece Select AAU organization and, depending on what schools express the most interest throughout the summer, will start to schedule some official visits.
“We plan to get through the spring stuff before making any decisions,” Coach Bosler said. “Dominic will travel to several AAU events with his Spiece Select team this summer. Once he is finished at the end of the summer, we will sit down and try to start making some decisions.”
Rivals.com ranks James No. 52 on the Rivals100 list.
