Peavy impressed RivalsHoops.com reporter Russ Blake as he helped Cincy AAU Red reach the semifinals at the Spiece Run N Slam Tournament in May. Russ wrote that Peavy is a fine athlete blessed with a good basketball body who is an intriguing prospect because of his size and athleticism.
His late father, Terry, played basketball at Pitt and his step-father, Dave Johnson, competed at Cincinnati.
Peavy averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game last season. He said he has a 3.1 GPA and has already achieved a qualifying score on the SAT.
