Ohio shooter nearing decision time

Last spring, Kenny Kaminski burst onto the scene as a sweet shooting, high scoring face-up four man. Now, the junior to be at Medina (Ohio) High has been expanding his game. He's also drawing closer and closer to making a choice.
"I can really go inside and out," said Kaminski. "I can play with my back to the basket and I can attack off the dribble. Probably the best thing I can do is shoot from the outside."

Kaminski is telling the truth when he singles out shooting from deep as his biggest strength. He shoots it so well and does such a good job of setting himself up that schools have begun to recruit him just as much, if not more, as a wing than a four because of his ability to stretch defenses.
"Coaches are recruiting me more as a guard this year," Kaminiski told rivals.com. "I've really been working on my ball handling because that's one of my main weaknesses I'm trying to work on so I can play the wing."
On the school front, Kaminski admits that Michigan State, Indiana and Ohio State have separated themselves from the pack. He'd like to fit in visits to Wisconsin, Arizona and Florida and mentioned Xavier as a possibility as well.
However, with his travel with Indiana Elite and his participation in Adidas Nations, he's unsure of exactly when he'll set up visits. Ultimately, it's all in preparation for a self imposed deadline on his recruitment that is approaching rapidly.
"I'm going to make my decision on July 31st," said Kaminski. "That's like my due date I've had since last year. It's just something to work for."
