Ofori-Attah Playing Waiting Game

2004 prospect Edwin Ofori-Attah out of Statesville Christian (NC) High School is playing a waiting game now that his high school career is over. According to Coach John Jordan, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound combo guard is in a state of limbo as he waits to see what develops with the schools that are recruiting him.
“We are just waiting right now,” said Coach Jordan. “It looks like he is a lot of people’s second choice.

“Minnesota is really high on a 6'7 shooter out of Marshalltown Community College in Iowa.”
“South Carolina is waiting on a ruling by the NCAA on an extra scholarship they made an appeal for.”
“Creighton is still involved, as are some smaller schools like William & Mary.”
“We are just waiting till the dust clears.”
Ofori-Attah, who set the North Carolina single game scoring record with 71points in a game, finished the season averaging 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. His team finished 17-9, losing in the quarterfinals of the state tournament, and he was named first team all-state.
Ofori-Attah is also waiting to find out if he will be named to the international squad for the World Hoops Summit at this year's NCAA Final Four in San Antonio. He is a nominee of his native Germany.
