Offers pour in for Tucker

THE RIVALS150: Class of 2014 | 2015 | 2016
It's been a great few months for Team Charlotte wing Rayjon Tucker. Prior to this travel season, he was under the radar nationally and didn't have any high-major offers. That's not the case anymore. He's made his way into the most recent 2015 Rivals150 where he debuted at 112 and now holds a few high-major offers from Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, VCU and Virginia Tech.

During June, Tucker had the chance to make unofficial visits to Clemson, N.C. State, North Carolina, VCU and Virginia Tech.
VCU head coach Shaka Smart and his "Havoc" system have Tucker intrigued.
"I loved the VCU visit. They play my style of basketball, which is fast and up-tempo. I love Coach Smart. He's a good guy. He really works hard on their style, Havoc."
The small-town, family feel of Clemson also appeals to Tucker.
"I love Clemson. They really focus on their players. It's a very family-oriented place. It's a small town and everybody knows everybody, so that's another plus for them."
In the couple months that Virginia Tech has been recruiting Tucker, he seems to have really hit it off with new Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams.
"Virginia Tech was good. I love Coach Buzz. He's straight-forward, tough and he acts just like my dad, so that's a plus. I know a couple people that go there, so that helps too."
While North Carolina hasn't offered the three-star prospect yet, Tucker visited there anyways and enjoyed his time in Chapel Hill.
"North Carolina is recruiting me too. It was a great visit. It's always been one of my dream schools. At the same time, I'm still looking for what's best for me. I got to see the museum they have there and it was really nice."
Tucker doesn't have a plan right now for how his recruitment will play out, but he did mention plans to trim his list down to five after travel season concludes.
"Right now, I really don't know about when I'll make my decision. I was thinking about doing it on my birthday, which is in September, but I'm not sure. I'm looking for a school that will challenge me on and off the court, a school that plays my style of basketball, and a school that has made a personal relationship with me."
