Oden and Conley waiting for Wednesday

The face of college basketball is about to change on Wednesday at 2 p.m. (EDT) That is when Greg Oden, the No. 1 player in the country, will announce his college destination along with his close friend and Lawrence North (Ind.) teammate Mike Conley.
Oden has waited on the NBA's newest collective bargaining agreement. When NBA commissioner David Stern and the NBPA president Billy Hunter announced the league would impose a 19-year-old age limit, Oden was quickly forced to find a NCAA home.

He and Conley will announce their college destination at a press conference at their high school on Wednesday in Indianapolis. Oden will decide between Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan State and Wake Forest. Conley will pick between Ohio State and Wake Forest.
The Indianapolis Star reported that the inseparable duo will join AAU teammate Daequan Cook in Columbus and play for Thad Matta and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Mike Conley, Sr., the head coach of the Spiece Indy Heat AAU team, said the report did not hold any water.
"That report was premature," Conley, Sr. said. "They said they got that information from a source but it was more of a person getting from another source who got it from another source."
Many believe Ohio State is in the driver's seat, though. Conley, Sr. said the two teenagers change their mind on a daily basis.
"It just depends on what day you catch up with these boys," Conley, Sr. said. "Mike thought for a long time that he was going to go to Wake Forest but it just depends on when you catch him."
With the whole college basketball world watching their press conference, Conley, Sr. said Oden and Conley have a lot to sort through before Wednesday.
"They'll sit down tonight and tomorrow and really think about it all," the coach said.
