O.J. Sumter Still Wide Open

O.J. Sumter, a rugged 6-6, 230 pound combination forward from Palm Beach C.C. in Palm Beach, Fla., is still open in his recruiting process. Sumter has seen a number of Division I schools come through to evaluate him this fall and winter.
Pittsburgh, Rutgers, St. John's and West Virginia had all come by to take a look at Sumter this past fall. Ohio State is another program taking a look at Sumter. It's likely more schools will try to jump in as they see Sumter play.

Florida A&M, Central Florida and Florida Atlantic have offered scholarships to Sumter.
South Florida had been heavily involved with Sumter this summer, but they backed off O.J. after getting a commitment from Florida high school forward Yusuf Baker.
An unorthodox player, Sumter has a knack for scoring both inside and out. He has a burly frame which suggests that he might be an inside player, but can shoot it reliably out to midrange.
Sumter is expected to sign in the spring, and JUCO Junction/rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his recruitment in the coming weeks.
