O.J. Sumter Decides

O.J. Sumter, a rugged 6-6, 230 pound combination forward from Palm Beach C.C. in Palm Beach, Fla., signed with Florida A&M. He had seen several schools watch him play this winter. Ohio State was one school evaluated his talents.
Palm Beach Head Coach Steve Bernath told JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com previously told us that Pittsburgh, Rutgers, St. John's and West Virginia had all come by to take a look at Sumter this fall.

However, it's important to note that none of those programs have offered scholarships to Sumter thus far. Bernath said that Florida A&M, Central Florida and Florida Atlantic had offered scholarships to Sumter.
Bernath had said that Sumter has not enjoyed a strong preseason, although he has been slowed by an injury.
South Florida had been heavily involved with Sumter this summer, but they backed off O.J. after getting a commitment from Florida high school forward Yusuf Baker.
An unorthodox player, Sumter has a knack for scoring both inside and out. He has a burly frame which suggests that he might be an inside player, but can shoot it reliable out to midrange.
