NY Guard Slipping Under The Radar

Chris Bernard, a 6'2'' 165 pound combo guard from St. Edmund's High School in Brooklyn, New York, is a New York City prospect who slipped under the radar a bit because he wasn't on the AAU circuit this summer.
Bernard attended summer school instead of touring with The New York Gauchos, his club team. As a result, Bernard has not had much of a chance to impress Division I college coaches.

Chris has heard from St. Peter's, Rider, and Albany. St. Peter's has offered, and Chris will be hosting the staff from the MAAC school for an in-home visit in the near future. Hartford had previously expressed interest, but Bernard has not heard from their staff lately.
Bernard's biggest asset is likely his athleticism. He is fast in the open floor and wields a quick first step. Chris is a natural shooting guard but can handle the point adequately. He is a streaky shooter who can knock down the three, but needs to do it with a little more consistency. Chris has good size on the wing, but possesses a spindly frame, and will need to pack on some muscle for the next level.
Bernard will be active on the New York City fall league circuit over the next month or two, participating in The IS8 League and The Gaucho Roundball Classic, but he likely will not be competing in any major AAU events.
Chris carries a C+ average in the classroom. He is taking the SAT in November.
