NY guard is hot mid-major target

Afam Muojeke, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Genesis One in Mendenhall, Miss., is shaping up to be a must get recruit for the mid-major programs.
The unsigned senior has three programs that stand out above the rest, according to his high school coach Victor Evans.

"His top three is Fresno State, Southern Miss and Duquesne," Evans said.
Tennessee-Chattanooga, Illinois State, St. Louis and Cincinnati are also in the picture, Evans said. As the best student on the Genesis One team, Evans said Muojeke will be basing his decision on basketball.
"I think Afam is looking for a situation where he can go in and make an impact and get minutes early because, with him, the academics will take care of itself," Evans said.
Muojeke, a Brooklyn, New York native, is averaging 20 points a game this season despite a bad back.
"He's shooting it so well and playing so well," Evans said. "I can't even sit him. At 6-6, he's the best shooter that I've seen in the country."
