Nwankwo Thinking About Arizona

It looks like Davis Nwankwo is ready to become a member of the Arizona Wildcat basketball family. The 6-foot-9, 236-pound power forward from Georgetown Prep School in College Park., MD will receive an in-home visit from Lute Olson on Sunday evening. If all goes as planned, Nwankwo is hoping to end his recruitment right then.
“Coach Olson is coming to my house on Sunday for an in-home visit,” Nwankwo said. “If the visit goes like I think it will, there is a chance that I could give Arizona a commitment right then.”

Arizona has been the leader for Nwankwo from the moment he returned home from his official visit to Tucson. If it were up to him, the decision would have been made a long time ago, but Nwankwo’s parents are very much involved in his recruitment.
“My parents and I have spent a great deal of time talking about this decision,” he said. “They really like Stanford because of the academics and things like that, but we’ve been talking about Arizona a lot as well.
“Once Coach Olson comes in for his in-home visit, I think my parents will understand why I like Arizona so much. Once they see what Arizona is all about, I think their opinions will change. As I said, if all goes as planned, I hope to give Coach Olson a commitment right then. Arizona is definitely the leader.”
Rivals.com ranks Nwankwo No. 78 on the Rivals150 list and the 21st best power forward in the class of 2004.
