Nwankwo Ready To End Recruitment

Lute Olson and the Arizona Wildcats are about to receive a commitment from another player in the class of 2004. Davis Nwankwo, a 6-foot-9, 236-pound power forward from Georgetown Prep School in College Park, MD., took an official visit to Tucson this past weekend and completely fell in love with the University. Nwankwo is ready to give the Arizona coaching staff another commitment, but there is one small problem.
“I want to give Arizona a commitment right now, but my parents are a little shaky about that,” Nwankwo said. “Stanford is also involved in my recruitment, so my parents feel that Stanford is the best school for me, but I really want Arizona.

“I’m 80 percent sure that I will be an Arizona Wildcat,” he added. “I hope to give them a commitment by the end of the week, but we will see what happens.”
Nwankwo has already taken an official visit to Stanford, but he has not been fully accepted as of yet. He is still waiting to hear from the University about his status of his admission.
Rivals.com ranks Nwankwo No. 78 on the Rivals150 list and the 21st best power forward in the class of 2004.
