Nwankwo Drawing Heavy Attention

Davis Nwankwo, a long 6-8, 225 pound power forward from Georgetown Prep H.S. in Bethesda, Md., displays a lot of potential.
A mobile and bouncy big man, Nwankwo has good instincts around the basket, and showed the ability to use both hands in the paint.

Georgetown Prep Head Coach Dwayne Bryant told Rivalshoops.com that Stanford and Michigan have offered Nwankwo scholarships, while Maryland, Notre Dame and UConn have all inquired.
"Ike is able to establish good position in the low post, but his biggest strength is his versatility," Bryant said. "He has good footwork and quickness in the low post, but he's got to get stronger."
Nwankwo is averaging 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks per game this season for Georgetown Prep.
Nwankwo attended the Nike All-American Camp this past summer, and will likely attend the camp again in July. He will also suit up for the D.C. Blue Devils on the spring and summer hoop circuit.
Rivalshoops.com will keep you informed about Nwankwo's play and recruitment in the months to come, so keep it here for the top recruiting coverage of the Class of 2004.
