Nutter Leads Seton Hall Prep to Easy Win

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Jamar Nutter connected on four three pointers, scoring 24 points to lead Seton Hall Prep to a 64-33 victory over St. Joseph's H.S. of Metuchen, N.J. on Sunday night at the Hoop Group Tip-Off Classic.
Nutter, a 6-2 combo/shooting guard who signed in November with Seton Hall, scored 10 of his 24 in the first quarter as the Pirates led 27-12 after the opening eight minutes of play.

It only got worse for the Falcons of St. Joseph's, who simply were unable to stem the early momentum that Seton Hall Prep generated early in the game.
Nutter earned game MVP honors for his play, but he had ample help from 6-4 senior forward Alex Buzbee (11 points) and sophomore guard Andrew Pusar (seven points).
St. Joe's, which is best know for producing former Duke All-American and current Chicago Bull rookie Jay Williams, was paced by junior forward John Dixon's 12 points. He was the lone Falcon player to hit for double figures.
Seton Hall Prep is a perennial power in the New Jersey parochial school ranks, and the Pirates should once again be a strong factor in the Garden State basketball hierarchy.
