Nutter Has Top Six

Jamar Nutter, a strong 6-2, 191 pound combo/shooting guard from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, N.J., told us he has a top six list of schools -- Rutgers, Villanova, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Syracuse, and Seton Hall.
"I like them all," Nutter said. "I will see who is interested after I play this summer. But they all have great coaches and play in tough conferences."

Nutter played this past weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx. He had a good tournament though his team lost two of three games.
Nutter did have a solid tournament at the Southern Invitational this past weekend on the campus of Virginia. He is an obvious key on how the Playaz do this spring and summer. "I am working on my perimeter game," Nutter said. "I shoot a lot of jumpers every day."
Nutter does seem willing to work hard on his perimeter part of the game. This is key to how high a level Nutter goes. Jamar is also a physical defender and strong slasher. Though Nutter is not a great three point shooter at this stage he has shown some good improvement since his junior high school year ended. He does play more on the wing than at the point for Seton Hall Prep.
Last season, he averaged roughly 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals per game for the Pirates.
Nutter said he plans on attending the adidas ABCD Camp in July, and will tour the summer basketball circuits again this year with Jimmy Salmon's Playaz program.
