Numerous schools evaluating Holmes

The No. 62 prospect in the class of 2007 B.J. Holmes doesn't have a school list at this point in his recruitment, but the 5-foot-10, 160-pound point guard from Hastings High School in Houston, Texas, did provide Rivals.com with a list of the schools that have evaluated him this fall.
"I really don't have a school list, but Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Villanova, Charlotte, Miami and Texas have all been in to see me," said Holmes. "When the time comes, I'll be looking for a place where I can play early . I want to get a good education and play in a good, competitive program."

Leading his team to a 14-3 record, Holmes is averaging 16 points and 7 assists per game while shooting an impressive 52 percent from behind the arc.
A smooth ball handler and shooter, Holmes is well aware that he must develop the physical side of his game to be an impact player at the high-major level.
"I'm working hard on my defense," he said. "I'm in the weight room getting stronger. I also need to be more conscious of my decision making, but there is no doubt that my strength is getting everyone involved in the game."
Holmes has a 3.0 GPA.
