Four-star shooting guard Achraf Yacoubou is the latest talented scoring guard who will play in Coach Jay Wright's guard-oriented offense.
"Jay Wright is a great coach," Yacoubou told the New York Daily News. "I felt like I had a good relationship with him. And I feel like he can get me to the next level."
Yacoubou, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, is coming off a Class A state championship at Long Island (N.Y.) Lutheran High School where he averaged 22 points per game. He believes a championship is attainable at Villanova as well.
"This team can win the NCAA championship," he told the Daily News. "They're incredibly talented."
Yacoubou, who competed in the Labron James Skills academy and King City Classic this summer as an underclassman, visited Kentucky for its recent midnight madness and had numerous other schools recruiting him.
He is the No. 76 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
