Heron commits to Pittsburgh
For the second time, Jay Wright and his staff at Villanova have landed a top 100 player from the class of 2015. For the second time they haven't had to go far from Philly to get their man.
The Wildcats picked up a commitment from the No. 78 player in the class of 2015, Donte Divincenzo.
A 6-foot-4 shooting guard at nearby Wilmington (Del.) Salesanium, Divincenzo had cut his list of finalists down to six during the month of December, but saw no need to wait any longer.
Divincenzo is a four-star prospect who has some nice wrinkles to his game. He is athletic and creative off the dribble, a pretty good shooter from deep and plays with lots of toughness.
He does need to add strength and continue to work on his shot selection, but the junior doesn't lack in the toughness department.
Divincenzo joins fellow four-star prospect Tim Delaney as an early commitment. From nearby Pitman, N.J., Delaney is a power forward who currently ranks No. 93 in 2015.
