Northwestern continues to add to its already strong 2018 recruiting class as it landed Rivals150 wing Miller Kopp on Wednesday. A 6-foot-6 small forward prospect from Houston, Kopp brings excellent size to the perimeter along with a strong shot making prowess.

After visiting Butler, Texas A&M and Northwestern for official visits to kick off the month, Kopp quickly sifted through the recruiting process before coming to his college decision. Buying into becoming an integral member of a championship-contending program, Kopp spoke to WildcatReport.com about what stood out about Northwestern.

“(Coach Chris Collins) wants the Class of 2018, my class, to come in and take what everyone else has done – B-Mac (Bryant McIntosh), (Scott) Lindsey and Vic (Law) – to another level,” he said. “He wants us to write some more records and build on what the guys before us have done. That’s a pretty exciting opportunity.”

A top standout on the Under Armour circuit this summer with the Houston Defenders, Kopp showed the ability to lead his team in scoring while remaining a presence on the glass. Averaging over 20 points and five rebounds, Kopp has the chance to earn quality minutes during his first year in Evanston.

The fourth commitment in the 2018 class, Kopp joins fellow Rivals150 commits Pete Nance and Jordan Lathon, along with hard-playing and skilled center Ryan Young, in creating a very sturdy and high upside unit. Northwestern looks to be all about done with their efforts in the 2018 class as they will now focus more of their time on its younger classes.
