Four-star prospect Anthony Norris of Houston Sam Houston High School has had a favorite school over the past several years, and on Monday night the 6-foot-6, 215-pound small forward committed to his favorite school.
Memphis is now on the board in 2011 with the commitment Norris, who transferred from Hobbs (N.M.) High School this year.

"Memphis is the pace I've wanted to go to since I was young," said Norris. "I like the guard play there. Some of my favorite players like Derrick Rose, Chris Douglad-Roberts and Tyreke Evans played there."
Norris chose Memphis over Baylor and Marquette also because of the system of play.
"As a three-man, I'll have the chance to play as a two or one man in their offense," he said.
On the season, Norris, the No. 65 ranked prospect in the class of 2011, is averaging 19.7 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per game.
The athletic lefty is a prototypical combo forward who specializes in slashing to the basket and cleaning up on the glass.
