One of the most underrated point guards outside of northern California is Brody Angley from Enterprise High School in Redding. The 5-foot-11, two-sport athlete has scheduled visits for this month around his already busy football schedule.
Angley has in-home visits set with Santa Clara on Wednesday, September 10 and Eastern Washington on Saturday, September 13. He will also take official visits on the weekends of September 20th and 27th to Eastern Washington and Santa Clara respectively. According to Brody's father, Jaime Angley, Stanford has also shown strong interest. "[Brody's] SAT score needs to be higher and he will be taking the test again in November to raise it to at least 1050", said the elder Angley. Brody's current score is 900.
On the football side, Angley is being pursued by Stanford, Cal, Fresno State, USC, Sac St., and Idaho State but prefers to play basketball in college. "For now, [Brody] is aggressively pursuing his love of basketball and concentrating on playing this sport in college", said Jaime.
Indeed, Brody is a very gifted football player. The NCP Preseason All-Norcal selection rushed for 148 yards and scored three touchdowns to help Enterprise beat Corning 41-21 on Friday.
Angley is expected to sign during the early signing period in November.
