Nolley researching options as stock continues to rise

Landers Nolley was one of the prospects that saw his stock rise in April after two great weekends in front of college coaches during the live periods. Not only did his ranking go up to No. 61 overall in the 2018 class, but he added new offers to a list that was already pretty lengthy.

Earlier this month, the four-star wing out of Georgia took unofficial visits to Auburn and Georgia Tech. UConn, Virginia, Georgia, Florida State, VCU and Florida Gulf Coast are the other schools Nolley mentioned that he’s still in contact with on a regular basis.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

Nolley recapped his most recent visits and talked interest in Georgia and Virginia.

Auburn: “It went well. I went down for their shooting clinic. They’ve told me how I could come in and make an impact as a freshman.”

Georgia Tech: “The tweet speaks for itself. It was a good visit. I went around campus with the coach, had a meeting, and saw a little bit of the camp they had going. Coach (Josh) Pastner is on me hard. Our relationship is getting better and we’re starting to talk more.”

Georgia: “They are starting to come up a little bit. They have a nice piece coming in with Rayshaun Hammonds, but it’ll be tough losing J.J. Frazier. That’s a big loss.”

Virginia: “I talk to them a lot since the last live period. They do a good job there. They had another good season this past season.”

WHAT'S NEXT

Nolley said his biggest priority right now is doing all his homework on all the schools recruiting him by taking as many visits as he can. He doesn’t have any other visits planned, but they could happen at any time. He mentioned three schools he’d like to check out are Louisville, Michigan State and Syracuse. As for a decision, he said it could literally come at any time.

RIVALS REACTION

Auburn and Georgia Tech definitely gained some momentum in Nolley’s recruitment with his recent visits to those schools. Auburn was the first school to offer him following his move from Chicago to Atlanta before his junior year. Pastner and the Yellow Jackets have ramped it up lately and now sit in a pretty good spot for the local product. Georgia and Virginia would be the other two schools to watch in this one as we move towards July.
