No Ware like home

Mississippi State didn't have to look far to find a big man for its 2012 class. Starkville (Miss.) High School center Gavin Ware ended his recruitment Thursday with a commitment to his hometown school.
Also considering Alabama, Gavin cancelled a visit to the rival SEC school after a visit to Mississippi State convinced him that he didn't need to look further or farther in his recruitment.

"Mississippi State is a good opportunity for me to play in my hometown, and it is also a good opportunity for what I'm looking for academically," the 6-foot-8, 250-pound Ware told Rivals.com. "It's a chance for me to step in as a leader and do good things in my hometown."
A physical and blue collar low post player, Ware performed well at the recent NBPA Top 100 Camp.
He joins four-star guard Craig Sword and three-star guard Fred Thomas in Mississippi State's 2012 recruiting class.
Ware is the No. 77 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
