Lyndale Burleson, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Franklin High School in Seattle, Washington is in the process of taking the next step forward in his recruitment. Quite a few high major schools are showing interest in the Washington native, but Burleson is keeping his list of schools to himself. He plans to have a final list of seven to 10 schools by the end of ABCD Camp (July 6-11).

“I would say that my recruitment is going pretty well right now,” Burleson said. “I’m going to see how I perform at ABCD Camp and hopefully I will have a list of schools after the camp is complete.
“I know that a lot of coaches will be at the ABCD Camp and they will also be in Las Vegas for the Adidas Big Tim,” he added. If I don’t have my list of schools trimmed after ABCD Camp, I hope to have it done by the middle of summer.”
There are many scenarios behind Burleson’s decision, but none bigger than keeping all of his options open.
“I’m definitely going to keep all of my options open,” Burleson said. “A lot of it depends on how interested some of the schools are. I do have a list of about seven or 10 schools that I’m interested in right now, but I’m just going to wait a little longer before I tell anybody.”
Kansas, Minnesota, Duke, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Oregon State, Syracuse and Gonzaga are some of the schools that been recruiting Burleson in the past, but a lot has changed since that point.
Several of those schools have already received commitments from high profile shooting guards.
Duke received a commitment from shooting guard DeMarcus Nelson, Oregon received a commitment from shooting guard Bryce Taylor, Michigan received a commitment from shooting guard Joe Crawford, North Carolina received a commitment from combo guard JamesOn Curry and Minnesota received a commitment from shooting guard Miles Webb.
All of these schools could very well be interested in Burleson, but there is a chance that several of them might end up looking in another direction. No matter the case, Burleson will announce his list of schools when he feels most comfortable.
