No Changes For Jason Thomas

Jason Thomas, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound point guard from West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL., has had somewhat of a frustrating and disappointing summer. He began the AAU circuit with high hopes, but those hopes would soon be dashed, as he left his Illinois Fire team. Because of his decision, Thomas missed the July evaluation period, which could greatly affect his recruitment.
“My recruitment is going ok, but it’s not how I thought it would be,” Thomas said. “I left my Illinois Fire AAU team earlier in the summer because I wasn’t happy. I did not go to the Adidas Big Time, I did not go to ABCD Camp and I did not attend the Nike All-American Camp.

“My recruitment might be going a little bit better had I attended those events, but I didn’t,” he added.
Thomas is the only one who knows what went on between he and his AAU team. He feels he made the best decision by leaving, but often wonders what his recruitment would be like had he stayed with his teammates.
“I can tell you that nothing with my recruitment has changed,” Thomas said. “I’m still hearing from Georgia Tech, Iowa, Kentucky and Seton Hall. It would be great if I could take official visits to each of these schools. I also hope to hear from some new schools in the future.
“I’ve been told that coaches can start contacting players within the next few days, so I’m just hoping that some new schools get involved in my recruitment.”
As it stands right now, Thomas has not been offered a scholarship by any of the four schools currently recruiting him.
