NJ PG Receives Offer

Michael Nardi, a slick 6-2, 155 pound combo/point guard from St. Patrick H.S. in Elizabeth, N.J., received a scholarship offer recently from Seton Hall of the Big East. The Hall has already produced a solid recruiting class for the 2002 campaign. Now Louis Orr and his staff are looking to grab some of the top instate talent.
Nardi missed almost the entire 2001-2002 basketball season with a foot injury, and even though he came back to appear in the state playoffs for St. Pat's, he has missed some basketball tournaments this spring thanks to his afflictions.

Nardi told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he is considering many colleges, including Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Villanova, N.C. State, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee. However, Kansas recently received a commitment from Jeremy Case, a junior point guard. It's unlikely the Jayhawks will pursue Nardi this spring now that Case has committed.
Nardi admitted that he likes the Big East quite a bit and has already paid unofficial visits to Rutgers, Seton Hall and Villanova.
With many events coming up in the next three months, Nardi is hoping to play and cement his position among the elite guards in the Class of 2003.
His tentative schedule looks like this:
*Southern Invitational with the New Jersey Celtics
*Bob Gibbons Memorial Day Class with the New Jersey Celtics
*Nike All-American Camp
*Super Showcase (N.J. Celtics) or adidas Big Time Tournament (Newark Rams)
