Niles Thinking NBA

Pierre Niles, the No. 11 ranked player in the class of 2006 has had a strong spring along with his AAU team Memphis YOMCA. Niles, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound combo forward from Ridgeway High School in Memphis, is listing six schools but the NBA is foremost in his mind.
"My favorites right now are Cincinnati, Memphis, Duke, Arizona, Louisville, and Marquette,” said Niles. “My goal is to go straight to the NBA. I want to continue to get better and make the jump straight to the league."

If Niles cannot go straight to the NBA, he is looking for a college program that can help him get to the league as soon as possible.
"I want to go to a school that can get me ready for the NBA," he said.
Blessed with a lethal combination of skill and power, Niles can score in the paint and on the perimeter. Niles has the makings of a future NBA player, but he knows he must further refine his skills.
"I’m working on my ball handling, shooting, and my inside moves,” he said. “I need to work on things that will make me a better small forward."
"I think my greatest strength is my ability to finish in the post. I can also take my man off the dribble."
Memphis YOMCA will be in New Orleans at the Memorial Day Classic.
