Nick Stafford Remains Open

Nick Stafford, a 6-8, 190-pound forward from Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, also had Clemson looking at him last week, according to head coach Mo Cassara.
"Maryland is still showing a lot of interest," Cassara told us. "Nick is one of our guys coming off the bench. He is just a junior and he does a great job for us coming off the bench."

Connecticut, Providence, Notre Dame, Villanova, and Boston College are also mentioned as schools Nick is interested in, according to Cassara. Certainly Nick has seen a high level of recruiting interest in his skills. And he is one of the top juniors in the class of 2003.
According to Cassara, Stafford was also watched by Maryland, Virginia, Seton Hall, Boston College, Massachusetts, Hartford, Connecticut, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and Providence.
Stafford is likely to receive plenty of offers early on if he continues to progress in his game. "He is very athletic," Cassara said. "If he continues to improve his skills along the perimeter, he is going to be a top division one player."
