Nichols To Decide Soon On Trips

Villanova and Syracuse basketball fans may have to wait a little longer to see on Demetris Nichols' decision. Sources close to Nichols tell us today that Demetris will down down with his high school coach and his family to discuss his next move.
The 6-7, 190-pound swingman from Barrington, Rhode Island, could take official visits to Villanova and Syracuse before reaching a decision. Sources close to Nichols tell us that if the visits were to take place, the trips would be taken within the next three weeks.

Nichols' stock has certainly climbed since his terrific tournament at the Charlie Weber tournament on the campus of Villanova. Nichols dropped in 30 points in his last game and displayed a perimeter game that would make any college coach comfortable. He also had two other sparkling games that opened many onlookers' eyes.
Nichols took an unofficial visit to Villanova after the Weber tournament. Head coach Mike Hart of St. Andrew's told us that the visit tightened up the race.
Providence decided not to have Nichols on campus after realizing they were third in a three-school race.
Nichols could either a. take the official visits over the next two weekends or b. make a decision. We will keep you posted on what happens tonight.
