Nichols Ends The Process

Demetris Nichols, a 6-7 junior swingman from St. Andrew's High School in Barrington, Rhode Island, committed today to Syracuse after struggling also with his interest in Villanova, according to several sources.
Providence was also considered until the Friars dropped out earlier this week.

Nichols visited Villanova a couple of weekends ago. Villanova seemed to close the gap between itself and the Orange after Nichols took a visit there after playing in the Charlie Weber tournament.
Nichols had told us that Syracuse had the slight lead at the Charlie Weber tournament. However, his trip to Villanova went so well that the Wildcats made a serious push at getting him.
Last night, Nichols discussed with his coach and parents whether he should take official visits. He decided not to take any more trips.
