THE RIVALS150: 2015 | 2016

Terrance Ferguson, a five-star shooting guard and the No. 5 player in the class of 2016 from Dallas (Tx.) Prime Prep Academy, didn't start the first live recruiting period how he wanted to. In a matchup last weekend with fellow five-star shooting guard Josh Jackson, who is the No. 1 player in the class, Ferguson struggled to make shots and didn't play up to his standards.
He did bounce back though and finished the weekend with an impressive 19-point performance on Sunday afternoon with several coaches in attendance.
Following Sunday afternoon's game, Ferguson said he just recently began hearing from Alabama and new coach Avery Johnson. The idea of playing for somebody with an NBA background is intriguing to Ferguson.
"He's a former NBA coach and former NBA player, so who wouldn't want to play for him?" Ferguson said. "He's just trying to build a relationship so far and build a bond with me."
Along with Alabama, Ferguson said he's been in contact most with Arkansas, Kansas, Louisville and all the Texas schools.
Louisville had a coach in attendance for Ferguson's final game of the weekend, but it is Rick Pitino's track record that impresses him most with the Cardinals program.
"They got Coach Pitino. Their whole coaching staff there is great. It would be a great school to go to. They have a little history behind them."
The family atmosphere at Baylor is exactly what Ferguson is looking for.
"I like their coaches. They are family-based there and that's what I look for. They have a good fan base."
Texas A&M has a lot of momentum on the recruiting trail in-state after putting together a terrific 2015 class. They are putting in the work to make that trend continues.
"I love A&M. I love their coaches. They have so much energy all the time. I have a great relationship with all those guys."
Allen Fieldhouse at Kansas is widely regarded as one of the top atmospheres in college basketball, and Ferguson has already been there to see what all the hype is about.
"I went to one of their games and it was like the whole building was packed out and loud. It was crazy. Everyone's goal is to make it to the NBA and that's what they have done with their players. They are definitely a top school on my list."
With so many quality programs in the mix for his services, Ferguson says it is too tough to claim favorites at this point.
"I don't have an actual list right now. They are all pretty even with me. When I commit will depend on what coaches and my mother thinks. I'm not really sure yet."
