New schools on 2007 Kamp

Mountain View High School in Mesa, Ariz., is rolling along with a 26-0 record and No. 7 ranking in the Southwest largely behind the play of 2007 three-star power forward Harper Kamp. With an ever growing list, Kamp, 6-foot-8, 210-pounds, has had a couple new schools watch him play recently and begin to recruit him.
"Kerry Rupp from Indiana watched him practice the other day," said Kamp's AAU coach Earl Flaggs of the Arizona Magic. "Rodney Terry of Texas was in here lately, and Washington watched him when they were down here to play Arizona State.

"These guys were a little surprised by how good Harper is."
Blessed with footwork as good as any high school post player, Kamp is an intelligent player who can do damage in the low post as well as in the high post. Not overly athletic, Kamp does an excellent job of working for position and relentlessly pursuing the ball.
Arizona, Arizona State, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA are also in the recruiting mix for Kamp.
