New schools calling on Deane

Daniel Deane was hoping to have a decision made about his future by now, but it doesn't look like that will happen before the month of November. There is a chance that the 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Park City, Utah., will take several more visits before coming to a decision.
"I just wish that I could make a decision right now, but that really is not an option," said Deane. "I am still interested in Utah, Kansas and Gonzaga. Also, North Carolina and Wake Forest have been showing an interest during the last month.

"There was a time when I thought that I might take a visit to UCLA, but I don't think that is going to happen now," he added. "I might take visits to North Carolina and Wake Forest, but it's too early to tell at this point.
After taking official visits to Stanford, Kansas and Gonzaga back in May, Deane had planned to have a decision about his future made by now. However, a few weeks later, he had talked about a possible visit to UCLA, but it doesn't appear that the visit will take place.
"I definitely want to have a decision made by November," said Deane. "North Carolina and Wake Forest are just beginning to show an interest in me, so I don't know if a visit to those schools will take place. It's possible that I could visit North Carolina and Wake Forest, but I just have not made a decision yet."
Daniel Deane Scouting Report: Deane runs the floor, is relentless on the glass, attacks the basket, and throws his body around on defense. He is athletic and a competitor. Although he is best in the low post with his polished post up game, he is capable of more. His passing and shooting in the perimeter half-court game need to improve before he can be considered more than a center.
