New List Of Schools For Douglas-Roberts

Chris Douglas-Roberts, the 6-foot-5, 180-pound combo guard from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Mich., has taken a step forward in his recruitment. The No. 51 ranked player in the class of 2005 has decided to cut his list of schools and only seven remain. Douglas-Roberts indicated that he has scheduled an official visit to one of the remaining schools on his list.
“Oklahoma, Memphis, Miami-FL, Michigan, Michigan State, Georgia Tech and Arizona are the schools that I am interested in at this time,” Douglas-Roberts said. “I plan to leave all of my options open, but these seven schools have been showing me the most interest throughout my recruitment. I believe that I will sign with one of these schools when it comes time for me to make a decision, but I think its best that I keep all of my options open.”

Douglas-Roberts had originally planned to trim his list of schools to five, but after seriously thinking about his recruitment for the better part of two weeks, the No. 15 ranked shooting guard decided to set his list at seven. Now that Douglas-Roberts has trimmed his list of schools, the Michigan native is in the process of scheduling some official visits.
“As it stands right now, I plan to conduct in-home and official visits with the seven schools on my list,” he added. “I know that I cannot officially visit all the schools on my list, but I plan to have most of the coaches come to my house for in-home visits. I also plant to visit Georgia Tech during the weekend of October 2.
“There was a time when I didn’t know when I would make my decision, but I would like to be done with the recruiting process by December,” he added. “I just want to take my official visits, meet with the coaches at my house and then make the best decision. I feel very comfortable with the schools on my list right now, but I just need to visit the schools and spend more time with the coaches.”
