"Alabama is the team we really like a lot," Dowell's father Dale Dowell told Rivals.com. "We'd love to visit Alabama, Baylor and Marquette here soon, but Marquette might just be too far away. And we are hoping to get down to Texas A&M for the third time this Saturday."
Out of these top four schools, Alabama is the one school who has already offered the promising point guard. Ole Miss is also showing significant interest while South Alabama, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas-Arlington and TCU have offered.
Since transferring to Duncanville during the Christmas break, Dowell is playing behind long time starter and Southern University signee Brian Talley. Next year Dowell will take over the reigns at point guard for the national power.
Presently, Dowell is slated to run with the Dallas Showtyme travel squad on the circuit.
