New Decision Date For Nichols

St. Andrew's head coach Mike Hart said that Demetris Nichols, a 6-7, 190-pound swingman from Barrington, Rhode Island, hopes to have a decision by May 1st. Initially, Nichols was planning on making a decision this month. There was speculation that Nichols was ready to make that decision this past Tuesday. It never happened.
According to Hart, Nichols plans on visiting Villanova around April 15th. Nichols will be on the Villanova campus that weekend for an AAU tournament (Charlie Weber event). Nichols had previously cancelled an unofficial visit to the Villanova campus.

Syracuse had a coach up in Rhode Island yesterday with the live period underway. "They (Syracuse) still have the slight edge," Hart said. "He is also considering Seton Hall, Providence and Villanova."
We will keep an eye on Nichols especially this month.
Nichols averaged almost 14 points a game, six rebounds, three assists, and three blocks last year as a sophomore. He was slightly above those levels this season.
Nichols scores most of his points inside and is working on improving his perimeter game. He does have nice rotation on his shot. He has great upside to his game and appears to be very coachable.
