Nelson Visits UCONN

Georgia Tech forward Ed Nelson is currently on the campus of Connecticut. It is one of three trips that Nelson will likely take.

Nelson, who requested a release and was given it from Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt last month, is also considering Massachusetts and Boston College.

Nelson, who averaged 28 minutes a game Georgia Tech as a sophomore last season, was also a big part of the Hewitt's program as a freshman. Nelson was named the ACC'a Rookie of the Year.

Nelson has family also in Massachusetts. His father lives in the New England area so it's not surprising these particular schools are involved in this transfer process. Nelson has promised visits to Massachusetts and Boston College before making his decision. Nelson is a hard worker who makes his living inside on the boards. He does a nice job picking up rebounds and loose balls inside.
