Nebraska adds to 2018 class, lands Karrington Davis

Nebraska added to its already solid 2018 class on Saturday with the commitment of 6-foot-6 wing Karrington Davis. A member of the nationally ranked Montverde Academy program this year, Davis becomes the third senior pledge to the Big 10 program, joining local product Brady Heirman and explosive lead guard Xavier Johnson.

As the Huskers patiently await their fate tomorrow evening as to whether they will receive one of the 68 bids to the NCAA Tournament, Tim Miles and his staff were able to solidify their future with Davis on the perimeter.

Originally a highly followed and recruited prospect during his sophomore and junior years at Chaminade College Prep in St. Louis, Davis tore his ACL last spring shelving him for his entire senior summer. Just getting back onto the floor in mid-December, Davis has made strides in the toughness category while becoming a more productive member of the already loaded Montverde squad.

What all is Nebraska getting in the three-star prospect? A tough, hard-nosed wing that is most valued for his shot making abilities. A very solid 15-foot jump shooter that has added strength, which has enabled for multi-positional defensive abilities, Davis brings two-way abilities to Lincoln, potentially replacing all-league member James Palmer upon his departure from the program next year.

Moving ahead, getting Davis fully healthy will be of the utmost importance but one of the better available prospects, his commitment gives coach Tim Miles a two-way contributor as they will lose Evan Taylor and Anton Gill after this season due to graduation.
