Ndiaye signs with Big East

Hamady N'diaye didn't take long to make a decision. After completing his visit tour, the 6-foot-10, 225-pound center from Stoneridge Prep (Calif.) verbally committed and signed with Rutgers on Friday.
N'diaye is familiar with the New Jersey campus dating back to his time at the Jersey based Life Center school and in the end, that helped the Scarlet Knights ink the four-star big man, according to Stoneridge assistant coach Mike Mahoney,

"There was just that comfort factor there, especially with him living there in New Jersey a while back," Mahoney said. "It's the kind of place where he knew something about and he feels like there is some familiarity there."
As Fred Hill rebuilds the Big East program, Mahoney said he believes N'diaye will be able to help down the road.
"One of the things with Rutgers is he doesn't have to go and be a savior there for them," Mahoney said. "He can help them out with defense and then get better as he goes along."
N'diaye also visited Miami and Pittsburgh.
