CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.David McCormack is a throwback big man capable of playing in a new-age style and he's proven it at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. McCormack broke down his improvement and the latest on a recruitment that is turning into an elite level affair.

During his junior season, McCormack had his moments but this spring he has proven to be a terrific back-to-the-basket scorer with power. He's shed weight, added explosiveness and proven to be mobile enough to be productive in a fast-paced setting.

"I know that I need to kind of revolutionize my game," McCormack said. "I know playing with my back to the basket is my bread and butter but I always need to work on my face-up game, my midrange shot, coming off of screen and rolls, pick and pop and things like that to help my game.

"It's definitely a case of me getting better."

CONFERENCE CALL: NBA Draft top prospects and sleepers

McCormack has picked up offers from Duke, Kansas, N.C. State, Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas, LSU, Florida State, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and many others.

McCormack has seen campuses at North Carolina, Wake Forest, Louisville, Kentucky and more, and a week ago he was at Virginia.

"I took a tour of the facilities; I took a tour of the dorms," said McCormack. "I got the chance to sit down and talk with coach (Tony) Bennett and all of his assistants and see how they would use me."

This weekend, McCormack will see two more ACC schools – Duke and N.C. State.

McCormack isn't yet sure when he will cut things down but finding a program that plays through its big men is going to be a priority.

"I haven't trimmed my list at all," he said. "I'm actually still open to all schools and I'm still open to all coaches and building the best relationships that I can.

"I'm looking at inside-out style of play, coaching style, how they develop their big men and the ways that they want to use them."
