CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- In the class of 2019, wing Christian Brown has all of the physical attributes that you would expect of a five-star prospect. However, it's his intangibles that have big time college programs blowing him up.

The native of South Carolina is a highwire athlete who thrives in transition, but it's the way he competes that really sets Brown apart from the pack. What's also impressive is that he knows his own scouting report and keeps things simple.

“I do what I do best and that’s go hard," said Brown. "My motor is great and then my skill level is coming up as well.”

So far, Auburn, Baylor, UConn, NC State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, Georgia, Kansas, Florida State, Tennessee, Florida and others have offered scholarships and more figure to be on the way. Most recently, Brown checked out Auburn for a camp.

“Auburn, me and Auburn click and since my freshman year it seems like they are at every game and every tournament," said Brown. "All the coaching staff was great when I went down there. I worked with Chuck Person for the shooting camp.”

Living in Columbia, Brown is very familiar with South Carolina. Coming off a Final Four run, Brown said that Frank Martin isn't pushing him too hard just yet which he is cool with.

“(Frank Martin) hasn’t really been pushing the recruitment," said Brown. "It’s the hometown and I live not too far from there so I’m always over there. I’m not surprised they aren’t pushing yet.”

Still in the early stages of his recruitment, Brown doesn't yet know when he'll look to narrow things down. Most likely, though, he'll look to take some late summer and early Fall visits and go from there.

“I haven’t really had time to think about things or plan out any visits to take," said Brown. "I’ve been so busy with all of these camps and tournaments that I don’t know when I’ll do something. I’ll look at it all more at the end of the summer.”
