LEBLANC QUIETLY EFFECTIVE
You won't catch Rivals150 forward Josh LeBlanc talking a lot of trash, and you won't catch him floating around the perimeter. either. What you see catch him doing is scoring with athleticism, making hustle plays and owning his area on the glass.
He's been very effective all spring long and has made a play for a move up the rankings. Keep an eye out for LSU under new coach Will Wade and Texas A&M in his recruitment.
FIVE-STAR SHITTU DOMINATING AROUND THE RIM
Through three sessions of camp, nobody has been more productive or physically tough in the lane than top-10 rising senior Simisola Shittu.
Because of his strength and commitment to bulling his way to the rim, Shittu has scored at will all camp long and he's done it with efficiency.
Oregon, Connecticut, Syracuse, Michigan are among the big players, while Kentucky and Duke are starting to show a little more interest.
TOP 50 REEVES IS A SCORER
Shot making has become a valuable asset in recent years, awhich makes A.J. Reeves that much bigger of a commodity this summer. A 6-foot-5 scoring wing with an uberly confident jump shot, the Mass Rivals product knocked down half of his 14 field goal tries to kick the day off.
Tough, active and versatile, Reeves’ 18 points followed up a 20 point contest last night, showing go-to scoring abilities off of the ball. Down to a final four of Louisville, Villanova, Virginia and Providence, Reeves has already visited each program outside of Louisville. The debate will continue with where he might land, but what is not in question is that Reeves will make a commitment in the fall and sign during the early signing period.
FIVE-STAR QUINERLY HAS BIG DAY
The most steady point guard in the 2018 class, Jahvon Quinerly helped his team overcome a deficit by showing an incredible feel, pace and intellect for the game. There is no question about how well Quinerly’s game will translate to the college level and because of, it a slew of blueblood and successful programs have continued to chase.
Down to a final seven of Stanford, Arizona, Kansas, Villanova, Virginia, Seton Hall and UCLA, the hopes are for Quinerly to set up a few his official visits in the coming weeks. Any program would love to add the top-30 guard who is polished enough to walk into any high-major program tomorrow and be trusted with the ball in his hands and with the clock winding down.
FOUR-STAR NASSIR LITTLE MAKING HIS MOVE
It has been a whirlwind of a spring for Nassir Little, one of the top stock boosters in the past few months. A 6-foot-7 small forward that can play multiple positions and on either end of the floor, Little made a few big-time finishes on Thursday morning. However, he was still more than happy to defend guys much bigger than him in the post and also scrap for the loose ball chance.
Tossing in 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks, things remain wide open with Little on the recruitment front. Two weeks ago he visited St. John’s, as the Red Storm has nudged its way heavily into the mix as a suitable landing spot for him, though others including Georgia Tech, Florida, Miami, UNC, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State and Louisville remain in the mix.
