NBA Players Camp: Session two

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Wally Judge and Rakeem Buckles carried their strong play into the second session of the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp. But underclassman Tristan Thompson made the biggest statement with his strong play against Jeremy Tyler.

Tristan Thompson- It's been a rough spring for Tyler, and it didn't get any better for him on Wednesday night. Thompson gave Tyler fits by facing him up in the high post and taking him off the dribble. Thompson had a couple and-ones and also knocked down a 17-footer when Tyler backed off. Tyler struggled on the offensive end against Thompson as well, going without a point. Long and lean, Thompson showed some grit with his low post defense.

Mfon Udofia- The physical and defensive minded guard did a great job defending Michael Dixon in their match up. Offensively Udofia had a strong day as well, knocking down open jumpers and creating scoring opportunities for teammates.

Eric Bledsoe- In the same fashion as Udofia, Bledsoe controlled the action during his game with strong defense and timely passing.

Maalik Wayns- The Villanova commitment has found his way to the rim as much as any guard in the camp thus far.

Harrison Barnes- Barnes certainly looks more like a 2009 prospect than a 2010 prospect here at the camp. He has a maturity to his game that is quite impressive as he never forces the action but simply makes plays.

Garrick Sherman- The Michigan State commitment had a good night scoring in double digits off some nice spin moves in the post.

Kevin Parrom- The New York wing was dialed in from deep, hitting at least five three-pointer during the second session.

Alex Oriakhi- The Connecticut bound big man continues to make strides with his game. He showed some range with his jump shot and had nailed an impressive left hand jump hook.

D.J. Byrd- A physical and intense player, Byrd looks more than ready to step in and make an impact at Purdue. When the shot was there, he knocked it down. When crowded, he made plays off the dribble. And if the ball is loose, Byrd will be one of the first players fighting for it.

Daniel Orton- He has been the best passing big man at the camp so far, and his physical play conjures up the memory of Rick Mahorn.

Aaric Murray- This is our first time to see this post player live, and we are impressed. He makes plays with his length and scores the ball with touch.

Joshua Hairston- The 2010 prospect has an impressive feel for the game as an interior scorer. Hairston can cover a lot of ground with just one dribble.

Ryan Kelly- A top-notch face-up scorer for a big man, Kelly has been impressive with his midrange scoring.
