NBA Not Discussed In Randolph Family

Shavlik Randolph, a talented junior forward from Raleigh (NC) Broughton, goes about 6-9, 6-10 and weighs from 210-215 pounds. His family says they are not sure they will watch the NBA draft since several high school players are looking for a team.

"I don't even know if anyone will watch the draft on TV," said Shavlik's mom. "It's something we don't talk about. I know it will come up next year because people will bring it up. But he is such a modest person. He doesn't think that way ... he is just getting ready for his exams and having a great summer."

Randolph is considered one of the top players in the class of 2002 and is a legimate McDonald's All American candidate for next year's game.

He plans on playing in the Tournament of Champions on Memorial Day weekend.
