Nashville Future150 wrap-up

Nashville, TN -The Future 150 camp made its fifth stop at the A-Game Sportsplex in as many weeks. The camp brought out some of the bright young talent from cities like Memphis, Huntsville and Nashville. We also saw some old faces that are currently ranked in the Rivals Top 150 such as 5-star Jarnell Stokes and Cameron Golden from the 2012 class.
The Top 20 was extremely competitive as the East hit a buzzer beater shot from the 3 point line to win the game 105-102. Austin Nichols and Andre Applewhite led the East All-Stars to victory. Listed below are a few players that showcased their talents in the game.

Jarnell Stokes-(2012-Central Memphis, TN) the 6-foot-8 inch PF showed vast improvement in his ball handling skills as he turned and face his defender while scoring off the dribble. He also showed that when drawing double teams he knows how to find the open man for easy shots. His physical size and strength proved him to be pretty much unstoppable around the basket. He also has added a nice mid range jumper as well. Stokes intends to visit Tennessee for its football game with Alabama. He also would like to visit Miami and Missouri this fall. Arkansas, Georgetown and Memphis are also schools of interest.
Chris Jones-(2012-Briarcrest Christian, TN) the 6-foot-1 inch CG continues to show improvement in his ball handling skills and his ability to play both guard positions. He made a 40-foot bounce pass in transition to a streaking teammate which you just don't see every day. His improved court vision and solid jump shot making ability continues to get better every time we see him. Jones has offers from Kent State, Jacksonville, and Belmont while receiving interest from Mississippi State and Auburn among others.
John Ross Glover-(2012- University School of Jackson, TN) the 6-foot-4 inch SF has a ton of bounce when attacking the basket and rebounding the ball. He plays above the rim and had some of the more impressive dunks in the camp. He has improved his ball handling skills to go along with a nice mid range game. Glover rebounds really well on the offensive glass from the wing position.
David Howard-(2012-Montgomery Bell Academy, TN) the 6-foot-8 inch PF showed good improvement when playing with his back to the basket. He uses his big bodied frame well when rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. He runs well and can knock down the 15 foot jumper with regularity.
Andre Applewhite-(2012-Central Memphis, TN) the 6-foot-4 inch SG is a big bodied strong athlete who can finish at the rim while taking contact. He showed one of the best pull mid range games in the camp, while making the 3 point shot with regularity. Applewhite was one of the top on ball defenders in the camp as well. He was the catalyst that brought back the East All-Stars to a victory in the Top 20 game.
Austin Nichols-(2012-Briarcrest Christian, TN) the 6-foot-8 inch SF is a long rangy player with a wing span of 7 ft 1 in. and who can play inside and out. He has one of the nicest left hands around the basket you will find. He can finish with either hand in a variety of ways, the jump hook, drop step or the turn and face jumper. He rebounds on the offense glass and runs the floor in transition extremely well. Nichols is hearing from Marquette, Virginia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and Missouri.
Kordario Fleming-(2012-Ridgeway, TN) the 6-foot-6 inch PF is a good looking athlete that definitely passes the eye test. He rebound's the ball well on both ends of the floor. He also made the mid range shot all weekend long. His strength and quickness allows him to guard multiple positions on the floor.
Leron Black-(2014-White Station, TN) the 6-foot-6 inch PF is extremely long athlete with a 7-foot wing span to boot. He runs the floor well and can finish on the break with ease. He showed a mid range game you just don't see from players his age. He rebound's the ball well and can put it on the floor when starting the break. Black has offers from Auburn and Memphis while interests are coming in from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Minnesota and Kent State.
Damion Wooten-(2012-Lausanne Collegiate, TN) the 6-foot PG showed good quickness and a good first step when breaking down his defender. He handles the ball well and just seems know where the right pass is at all times. He plays under control and can make the mid range jumper. Wooten was a solid player all weekend.
Earvin Morris-(2012-Memphis East, TN) the 6-foot-4 inch SF is wiry athlete who has long arms and good quickness. He rebound's the ball well from the wing position and can finish at the rim in transition with ease. He likes to attack the rim of the bounce as well as take the occasional 15 foot jump shot. Morris is a very versatile player who can guard multiple positions.
Nick King-(2013-Memphis East, TN) the 6-foot-6 inch SF is a long rangy athlete who likes to shoot the 3 point shot with regularity. He can play inside and out. He handles the ball really well and can put it on the floor when attacking the basket. He can score on all three levels and likes to attack the offensive glass hunting rebounds. King has interest from Georgetown, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Miami, Arkansas and Illinois.
Robert Veal-(2011-Ravenwood, TN) the 6-foot-6 inch PF played with a ton of energy and effort throughout the entire camp. He rebound's the ball well on both ends and runs the floor well in transition. He can score inside and out. He likes to take the transition 3 point shot when filling lanes.
Cameron Golden-(2012-Ridgeway, TN) the 6-foot CG has good ball handling skills to go along with a great feel for the game. All weekend long, he was distributing the ball to his teammates. He can score on all three levels but tends to be deadly from 3 point range. Don't get caught sleeping or this athlete will dunk on you or block your shot before you even know it. Golden has picked up offers from Kent State, South Alabama and Duquesne while Missouri and Tennessee are showing strong interest.
Jerron Washington-(2012-Kirby H.S., TN) the 6-foot-2 inch SG shot the ball well all weekend long. He handles the ball well and can get in the lane and finish. He has the quickness to guard both guard positions. He shows a good knowledge of the game and moves well without the ball in his hands.
William Powell-(2012-Huntsville High, AL) the 6-foot 5 inch SF is a good athlete and has the ability to guard multiple position on the defensive end. He showed good quickness when attacking the basket and the ability to make shots the entire camp. He rebounds well from the wing position and just has a good feel for the game.
Jequan Lewis-(2013-Dickson County, TN) the 6-foot PG has good quickness and sees the floor well in both the half court and in transition. He has good ball handling skills and shoots the mid range shot well. He just knows how to play.
Trey Polk-(2012-Bolivar Central, TN) the 6-foot 2 inch PG is a player that shot the ball well all weekend long. He has a good understanding of the game and has good ball handling skills. He was solid on both ends of the floor.
Montrae Williams-(2012-Spring Hill, TN) the 6-foot-2 inch SG was one of the better shooter in the camp. He has a good body and above average athleticism. He showed that he can score on all 3 levels. Williams has a good burst when attacking the basket.
Eric Robertson-(2012-Lee Huntsville, AL) the 6-foot-3 inch CG is a long rangy slasher that can get to the rim and finish with both hands. As he gets stronger, he could have the ability to become a lock down defender. He also showed a nice mid range game.
Jacob Lloyd-(2011-Westview H.S., TN) the 6-foot PG is a true point guard that has good understanding of the position. He sees the floor well in the half court and in transition. He is extremely quick and may have been the best on ball defender at the camp.
