Nardo Continues To Play Hard

Renardo Dickerson, a 6-5, 215 pound combo forward from Baltimore, MD, continues to impress RivalsHoops.com with the improvement in his game. We spoke with this hard worker at last week's Triple S Harley Davidson Charlie Weber Invitational at West Virginia University.
"Nardo" transferred from Baltimore's Southern High School to Milford Academy in Connecticut last season when he was re-classified as a junior. He also plays with Joe Connelly's Baltimore Blue program.

RivalsHoops.com's Russ Blake reported in April that, "... the southpaw has honed a pretty reliable three point shot since leaving Southern H.S. for Milford last fall."
We first caught Dickerson at the June 2001 War in the Woods in South Jersey where he poured in 34 points to lead the Blue to the championship. He was honored as the tournament MVP. At that stage of his development, he was successfully banging it out in the paint even though he was facing bigger opponents. As Russ pointed out, he has added another weapon to his arsenal.
Nardo always plays hard and fosters team play, both on and off the court. He was one of the Baltimore Blue's open division squad who stayed for the Blue's 16-and-under championship win Tuesday afternoon even though the team had been knocked out of their championship bracket Monday night.
Dickerson said he averaged 11 points and five rebounds last season at Milford. He told us that he's received scholarship offers from Massachusetts and Loyola of Chicago. Earlier he said that Buffalo, Towson and George Mason had tendered offers. Other schools on his list include Kent State, La Salle, Towson and UConn.
Dickerson said he has a 2.6 GPA and needs a qualifying standardized test score. "I transferred to Milford to improve my grades and to get better recruiting looks," he said.
Nardo is playing at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas with the Baltimore Bombers and will move with that team to the L.A. Best of Summer.
For schools looking for a hard-working player who gets the most from his talents, Dickerson could be their man.
