Murdock Chooses San Diego

Ray Murdock, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound shooting guard, participated in San Diego’s elite camp this weekend. The Pinnacle High School product out of Phoenix, Ariz., played well enough to receive an offer from the West Coast Conference school, and he committed before he left the campus.
“This morning I committed to San Diego,” said Murdock. “I was at their elite camp with Joey Shaw.

“I like the coaching staff and what they are doing. The situation there is good for me. When I come in there with be two seniors and a junior playing the two and three position, so there should be a good chance for me to start as a sophomore.”
Murdock, who is the best defender on his Arizona Magic AAU team according to head coach David Grace, listed Texas-San Antonio, Northern Arizona, Wyoming, Portland, and Colorado State as the other schools he was considering.
