Muojeke ready to ride out West

Afam Muojeke was bound to play for Heath Schroyer wherever he was coaching. The 6-foot-6 Brooklyn, N.Y. native is the first player to commit to Schroyer, the new Wyoming head coach.
Schroyer recruited the Genesis One (Miss.) wing while he was at Fresno State and the Cowboys head coaching position opened up, he took the job in a hurry. Muojeke was quick to follow.

"We built a good relationship when he recruited me at Fresno State," Muojeke said, "and now that he has his own job, it made it easier.
"I've always heard that it is best to go with a coach that has a fresh start at a new school. When I committed, everyone was excited that I picked them."
Muojeke visited the Mountain West school last week and took a couple of days to think through his options. He was also considering interest from Pepperdine, New Mexico, Southern Miss and Colorado. The playing time available at Wyoming was a big factor, he said.
"(Schroyer) said he sees me playing 20 to 25 minutes a game as a freshman," Muojeke said. "He said he wants to use my length right away."
