Mullins Hearing from High Majors

Bryan Mullins, a three star 2005 prospect out of Downers Grove South (Ill.) High School received plenty of phone calls in March. Although the 6-foot, 170-pound point guard is not ready to name a school list, he did talk to RivalsHoops.com about the schools that have called.
“DePaul, Wisconsin, Uconn, Stanford, Southern Illinois, Purdue, and all the mid-majors that have offered me called in March,” said Mullins, who plays in the back court alongside Bobby Frasor (No. 33 in class of 2005) on the Illinois Wolves. “I am pretty much wide open. I do not have much of a presence right now.”

Mullins does have an unofficial visit scheduled for nearby DePaul, but all the other schools will be coming to see him first.
“I’m going down to DePaul in a couple weeks,” he said. “All the schools that called are coming to school in April to sit down with me. So I will probably make some decisions about visits after then.”
As to what type of school he would like to play for, Mullins had this comment.
“Schools like Southern Illinois and Ball State and the other mid-majors that have offered me have great programs, but it would be nice to play in the Big Ten or the Big East or go out to Stanford.”
Mullins is coming off a tremendous season where he led his team to the Final Eight in Illinois before losing by four points to West Aurora High School. He was recently named third team all-state by the Illinois coaches.
He will take the ACT April 3rd.
